Answer Garden

AnswerGarden is a “minimalistic feedback tool”. It can easily be used for online brainstorming or as a way of getting quick feedback. It couldn’t be easier to use. First, create an AnswerGarden by entering a topic on the Create New AnswerGarden-page. You’ll then be redirected to your newly created AnswerGarden which, using the unique URL, you or pupils can then share. Or you can embed the AnswerGarden into a webpage, as I’ve done below.

The responses are limited to a maximum of 20 characters but those responding can click on previous responses to create a growing word cloud.

Why not try it here?

What’s the most useful online/digital tool you’ve used?… at

I’ve seen it used effectively in classrooms where teachers use it for instant AfL feedback, and by pupils looking for ideas or peer-assessment. Some care is needed as, at the moment, responses cannot be moderated.

Currently, it requires Flash but the authors are working on a version suitable for iPads.
